Ben Arfa, currently on international duty with France at the European Championships, has been linked with a host of top clubs after impressing at Newcastle last season and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old.
Ben Arfa had previously stated that while he was happy at St James Park, he would move if the right club came for him.
Speaking to the Sun, the Newcastle man said: "If I do not have a really, really serious proposal, I'll stay.
"If a big club comes, but does not propose something interesting - that is to say, the coach really wants me - I'll stay.
"If I do not feel the confidence of the new coach 100 per cent, I will not leave.
"I still have three-year contract. But I know it can go fast."
Chelsea had appeared to be favourites to secure Ben Arfa's signature but the introduction of Arsenal as a suitor has gone down well with the former Marseille man, who fears he may not get much playing time at Stamford Bridge were he to join Chelsea after the Blues's recent capture of Eden Hazard and Marko Marin.
Arsenal have never really filled the creative gap left by the departure of Fabregas and Wenger has identified Ben Arfa as the ideal signing to take the Gunners forward.
Beb Arfa made 34 appearances for Newcastle last season, contributing 7 goals and 7 assists to help Newcastle win a spot in the Europa League next season.
