Barcelona have been linked with a number of top players as they look to strengthen their squad this summer, with the likes of Robin Van Persie, Gareth Bale, and Neymar all linked with moves to Camp Nou.
1. Gareth Bale
The Tottenham winger has admitted that he is open to a future move to Spain, with Real Madrid also believed to be keen on the Wales international.
Joining to Barcelona at some point in the future is a real possibility, and his agent this past week admitted it is a "problem" that Spurs have not qualified for next season's Champions League.
Jonathan Barnett insists he has not held talks with Barcelona, however, and told Sport he believes Tottenham's asking price of £40million for the Wales international is "too expensive" for the Catalans, who he expects will instead look to complete a deal for Valencia's Jordi Alba.
2. Jordi Alba
Barca are thought to be trying to complete a deal for Alba next week. Reports in Spain in recent days suggested Valencia president Manuel Llorente was set for talks with Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizaretta and vice-president Josep Mario Bartomeu to discuss a deal for the left-back, but a meeting was called off after details of the venue were leaked to the press.
A fee is yet to be agreed, however, with Los Che believed to be holding out for at least €15million for the Spain international, who Barcelona rate at around €10m.
Alba is thought to be keen on making the move to Camp Nou, and last week admitted to RAC 1: "I always said that Barca is the team that plays the best football and they have very good players, who are also here with the national team.
"I get along very well with the Barcelona players, but also with other [Spain] team-mates.
"I want to focus on the national team and see what happens. A lot of things are being said but, personally, I'm concentrated on what's happening here."
3. Robin van Persie
Out of contract at the end of next season, Arsenal are keen to keep hold of their captain and have him extend his stay at the club.
AC Milan, Juventus, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are also monitoring developments in north London, with Van Persie's future yet to be resolved following recent contract talks last month.
Juve and Man City are widely seen as favourites to sign the Netherlands international, but should he indicate his future lies away from Emirates Stadium, then a Barca bid should not be ruled out.
Linked with Barcelona, Chelsea, and Real Madrid throughout the past twelve months, Neymar recently claimed he could remain with Santos until he retires.
The 20-year-old, valued at £40million, last year snubbed a move to Europe and signed an improved three-year deal with Santos, although it is widely thought he will leave South America at some point before his contract expires after the 2014 World Cup.
Barca are firm favourites to secure the Brazil international's services, and Santos recently admitted he could be on the move in the next twelve months.
5. David Luiz
Barca have been monitoring Luiz for some time, while Real Madrid are also believed to be showing interest in the former Benfica defender.
The centre-back insists he has no plans to leave Stamford Bridge in the near future, but it is believed Vilanova sees him as the perfect long-term replacement for Carles Puyol, and a summer bid should not be ruled out, especially with AC Milan defender Thiago Silva now likely to join PSG should he leave the San Siro this summer.
