Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a deal for Inter Milan full-back Maicon.
Chelsea are keen on bringing in a new right-back this summer and have been linked with Ajax's Gregory van der Wiel and Cesar Azpilicueta of Marseille in recent weeks following the recent departure of Jose Bosingwa.
But Maicon has been on their radar for some time, and according to Sky Sports Italia, a deal could go through in the next few days.
The Brazil international is out of contract in twelve months time and has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months.
Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in the 30-year-old, while agent Roberto Calenda earlier this year claimed Manchester United and Real Madrid were keen on signing his client.
Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has been a big fan of the defender dating back to his spell in charge of the Italian giants.
Should a move to Stamford Bridge go through, Maicon would become Chelsea's third major signing of the summer following the recent arrivals of Marko Marin and Eden Hazard.
