Manchester City offer Adnan Januzaj big money to quit Manchester United

Manchester City have told Adnan Januzaj they will triple his current salary at Manchester United if he accepts a controversial move to the Etihad.
Big offer: Manchester City will offer Adnan Januzaj big money
Januzaj, 18, is currently locked in talks with United over a new contract after David Moyes prompted him to the first-team squad over the summer.
But despite the club suggesting they are hopeful keeping the player, City have stepped into the race and have made it clear that they want Januzaj in the January transfer window.
Manuel Pellegrini has given his blessing to move for the Belgian-born youngster, and City officals are proposing a £45,000-a-week five-year-deal if he walks out on United.
The money is treble his current earnings at Old Trafford, and signifies City’s determination to land the winger who is being tipped for big things.
Moyes said on Friday that he was aware of ‘external influences’ in deciding Januzaj’s future, and hinted at a battle to sign him up.
‘Adnan is keen to stay, but he has some external influences round him,’ Moyes said.
‘We really think an awful lot of him.’
Januzaj has made four United first-team appearances to date.
