|Real blow: Modric, who scored a stunning strike at Old Trafford for Madrid last season,|
has effectively told Manchester United to not bother bidding for him as he is happy in Spain
Luka Modric has revealed he is ready to snub any advances to return to the Premier League as he plans to hang up his boots at Real Madrid.
The former Tottenham midfielder, 28, has been linked with a move to Manchester United following a tough start to life in Spain following his switch from White Hart Lane in 2012.
The Croatia star has appeared 10 times for Carlo Ancelotti's side this season and is yet to score.
But he has no doubt where he would like to see out the remainder of his playing career, insisting he is settled at the Bernabeu.
'I have no doubt that the best thing that ever happened to me in football is to play in Madrid,' said Modric, speaking to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti.
Modric has four years left on his contract at the La Liga giants and added: 'Where will I be in four years? Here.
'Besides being a great club, my family feels amazing in Madrid.
'In football it is difficult to plan, but if you ask me, I would like to retire in Madrid. With titles, of course.'
